Storage is a medium. Store videos in folders. I might suggest organization and playback is what you meant.
Start organizing by year. Create a folder for each year, maybe broken down into the seasons.
You can then upload the videos to a remote server like YouTube or Vimeo which then allows a great deal of playback option partners for mobile, and even modern televisions.
It is always nice if you edit the movie down to the best parts though.

Thanks for the advice. What do you think is the best way (without using amazing Mac software) to store all the little video clips of my kids? Piece them together as a DVD? Create one movie and store it on my computer? Advice please.

Better yet: make the label and filter for Subject:"Note to self" and use Android's voice actions to record notes. Hold down the search button on your phone and say "Note to self: buy milk". It will end up in your Notes folder in gmail.
